Druva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Reeshma Nanaiah, director Prem, and producer Suprith recently gathered for the teaser launch of their upcoming Pan-India movie, KD – The Devil, at a multiplex in Mumbai. During the event, Sanjay Dutt shared some fascinating insights about the film and its production.
When asked what attracted him to the project, Sanjay responded, “As Dhruva mentioned, the story of this film is lovely. The character I’ve portrayed is very strong, and his relationship with his wife is quite special. It’s a character aimed at the masses. Since I began my career with Rocky, I have always focused on films for the audience.”
He further added, “The film is both emotional and packed with action. I primarily joined this project for Prem sir. He is not only an incredibly talented director but also one of the best people I’ve encountered.”
Sanjay was also posed a question regarding a possible clash of two of his films, Dhurandhar and The Raja Saab, both set to release on December 5. While The Raja Saab secured its release date last month, the makers of Dhurandhar made a similar announcement on July 6.
“It’s exciting because I’m playing two very different roles. The character in Dhurandhar is completely different from the one in The Raja Saab,” he shared. He expressed his hope that the films wouldn’t clash, stating, “Every film has its own journey. That said, I feel lucky to have the opportunity to explore such varied characters.”
Dhurandhar also features stars like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun. Directed by Aditya Dhar, known for Uri (2019), it is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
On the other hand, The Raja Saab is a horror-comedy featuring Prabhas, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Boman Irani, directed by Maruthi and produced by T G Vishwa Prasad’s People Media Factory.
