Ranveer Singh is back in the spotlight, this time not for his unique fashion sense or his affectionate moments with wife Deepika Padukone, but for his upcoming film, Dhurandhar. There have been recent updates about the film’s shooting schedule, following earlier reports that the teaser would drop mid-July.
According to a report, Ranveer recently filmed a high-energy dance sequence at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle. An insider revealed that “It’s a high-energy dance number. Ranveer was in great shape, having practiced for several days before the four-day shoot. The director, Aditya, created an impressive setup with elaborate sets and many background dancers. The shoot wrapped up on June 30, and onlookers described Ranveer’s appearance in the song as fierce.” The choreography was handled by Vijay Ganguly.
Dhurandhar boasts a talented cast, including R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. Reports indicate that about 75% of the film has already been filmed, with plans to complete production by September.
In terms of the story, this film is a period espionage thriller set primarily in Pakistan during the 1970s and 1980s, with some elements from the present day that remain under wraps. Ajit Doval is highlighted as a respected figure in the intelligence community, known for his extensive four-decade legacy.
As of now, the filmmakers have not revealed a release date or details about the teaser. Fans will have to wait a little while longer for official updates.
