Updates on Sitaare Zameen Par Censor Process
The buzz around Sitaare Zameen Par is growing, and recent developments regarding its censor process have caught attention. Initially, there were some hiccups as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) requested cuts that actor and producer Aamir Khan wasn’t comfortable with. However, it seems those issues have now been resolved.
On June 16, the Revising Committee, led by Vaman Kendre, watched the film and suggested a few changes. They asked the team to replace terms like "Business Woman" with "Business Person." Additionally, they requested the name "Michael Jackson" be swapped out for "Lovebirds." Changes also included removing certain visuals and the addition of a new disclaimer with a voiceover that features a quote from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After these modifications, the CBFC granted Sitaare Zameen Par a U/A 13+ certificate on June 17. The film has a runtime of 158.46 minutes, which is approximately 2 hours and 39 minutes.
Starring Genelia Deshmukh alongside Aamir Khan, Sitaare Zameen Par is set to hit theaters on June 20, and excitement is high for its premiere, scheduled for June 19. Bollywood bigwigs like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are expected to join in the celebrations to support Aamir.
Fans and moviegoers can look forward to a unique cinematic experience with this much-anticipated film.
