Bombardier’s Global 7500 Sets New Speed Record

PARIS—Bombardier recently announced that its Global 7500 business jet has set a remarkable speed record. During a flight from Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to Paris-Le Bourget Airport, the aircraft exceeded 1,000 km/h and completed the journey in just 5 hours and 30 minutes.

This achievement took place as Bombardier prepared for the International Paris Air Show, where its Defense division showcased the company’s advancements. The Global 7500 is not just a marvel of speed; it has now accumulated over 100 documented records in aviation.

Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, praised the aircraft’s real-world performance. He stated, "The Global 7500 excels in all key metrics while carrying passengers, luggage, and cargo, which sets it apart from other jets."

Martel also mentioned the upcoming Global 8000, which is expected to enter service later this year, while reiterating the superior ride quality, performance, and landing capabilities of the Global 7500.

Recent Milestones

This latest record follows the Global 7500’s recent achievement of a Paris-to-Montreal flight that took under 6 hours. The aircraft previously recorded the longest mission ever completed by a business jet, flying non-stop 8,225 nautical miles from Sydney to Detroit.

These swift accomplishments highlight Bombardier’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in aviation technology.

Advanced Features

The Global 7500 boasts an impressive maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles, designed for exquisite long-haul travel. With its spacious interior, the aircraft includes customizable features, allowing for personal touches to meet customer needs.

The cabin contains four distinct living areas and a fully-equipped kitchen, ensuring comfort and convenience for passengers. Advanced connectivity options and ergonomic seating contribute to a productive yet relaxing travel experience.

Company Overview

Bombardier is dedicated to designing and manufacturing high-performance aircraft for individuals, businesses, governments, and military clients worldwide. The company prides itself on exceeding industry standards and staying ahead of customer expectations.

Operating more than 5,100 aircraft globally, Bombardier is supported by a robust network of team members and service facilities across six countries. The manufacturing takes place in state-of-the-art facilities located in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

In 2024, Bombardier was honored with the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award for Brands and Communication Design.
