Indian Expats in Dubai Praise Modi’s Leadership on 11th Anniversary of NDA Government
Dubai, June 10 — As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government marks 11 years in power, Indian expatriates in Dubai have expressed their views on how India’s global standing has improved during this time. Many in the Indian community highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s leadership as a significant factor in this growth.
In conversations with local media, NRIs living in the UAE shared their thoughts on the government’s impact. Tarun, a Canadian passport holder residing in Dubai, praised Modi’s tenure, stating, “His leadership has really raised the profile of Indians abroad. Wherever he goes, respect for India increases. Many NRIs like me are excited about his upcoming visit to Canada for the G7 Summit.”
He noted that Modi’s work in the digital sector and efforts to uplift all segments of society, regardless of background, have contributed to India’s enhanced global reputation.
Another expat, Gopal, recalled a milestone event when Modi held a public meeting in the UAE. “It’s remarkable to see a Prime Minister engage with the community here—something that hasn’t happened in 52 years. The excitement among the crowd was palpable, and even locals were surprised by the level of interest.”
Shekhar Bhatia, who has called Dubai home for 35 years, added, “India’s prestige has soared in the UAE over the past decade. Modi’s visit was a significant moment, showcasing how international views on India have changed. His government has played a vital role in bolstering our economy.”
