Rajasthan Royals’ Star Vaibhav Suryavanshi Aims for Greater Heights in IPL 2025
Rajasthan Royals’ young batting prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, is gearing up for the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) with high hopes of leading his team to the finals. The 14-year-old made headlines during his debut season, stunning fans by hitting a six off his very first ball and smashing a record-breaking century in just 35 balls—the fastest by any Indian player in the history of the tournament.
Suryavanshi concluded the season with an impressive tally of 252 runs in seven innings, boasting an average of 36 and a remarkable strike rate of 206.55. His exceptional performance earned him the title of ‘Super Striker of the Season.’
Looking back on his debut, Suryavanshi expressed his determination to improve for the upcoming season: “I learned a lot this year, and I want to do even better next time—not just better, but twice as good—so that we can reach the finals,” he shared in a video posted on the IPL platform.
He also highlighted his willingness to work on areas where he felt he could improve. “Playing in the IPL is a dream for everyone, and this was my first taste. I learned a lot, and I’ll focus on enhancing my skills for the next season to further contribute to the team’s success,” he added.
In addition to his IPL aspirations, Suryavanshi is set to travel to England with the Indian Under-19 team for a tour from June 24 to July 23, 2025. The schedule includes a warm-up match and a series of five youth one-day games, along with two multi-day matches against the England U19 team.
