On a scorching Saturday, May 3, in Patna, the heat was more than just the high temperatures of summer. At the Miller High School Ground in the heart of the city, Tejashwi Yadav was stirring up considerable enthusiasm. The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader was at the forefront of the ‘Ati-Pichhda Jagao, Tejashwi Sarkar Banao’ rally, organized by his party’s cell for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC).

Tejashwi passionately criticized Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming, “No EBC community has prospered, while Nitish has flourished.” He made bold promises to the crowd, assuring them of jobs and safety, and a pledge to tackle crime. “Whoever commits a crime or exploits the poor, I will send them to jail,” he declared, positioning himself as a defender against injustice and disrespect.
