Actress Tamannaah Bhatia is set to star alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the upcoming film titled VVAN: Force of the Forest. Production for the movie is slated to begin in June 2025. This exciting news was first reported by Pinkvilla, following Sidharth’s announcement during Chhath Pooja 2024. The film is being produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.

VVAN is described as a folk thriller that promises to offer a rich narrative deeply rooted in cultural storytelling, with Sidharth Malhotra taking the lead role. Tamannaah’s involvement adds to her impressive list of projects, which includes her recent work in Odela 2 and Ayan. The film aims for a theatrical release coinciding with Chhath 2025, reflecting its cultural themes. A source mentioned, "Tamannaah Bhatia is on a signing spree. After films such as Ranger, the Rakesh Maria Biopic, and No Entry 2, she has now signed on for director Deepak Mishra’s VVAN. The film is set to go into production in June 2025, with plans for a release in 2026."

The source also revealed that Tamannaah is enthusiastic about exploring mythology through this role. She will engage in diction training with Sidharth Malhotra to prepare for her character. The movie will be filmed in real locations, with significant portions taking place in forested areas, and pre-production work is already underway to find suitable filming sites.

VVAN: Force of the Forest is one of many projects currently on Sidharth Malhotra’s busy slate. He is also involved in Race 4, alongside Saif Ali Khan, a comedy directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and is in talks for a film with Saran Sharma under Karan Johar’s production.

Stay tuned for more updates on this intriguing film and other upcoming Bollywood projects!
