Aamir Khan, a popular figure in China, recently made a trip to the country for the Macau Comedy Festival. While there, he engaged with fans and provided some exciting updates about his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par.
Aamir explained that this movie is a remake of the Spanish film Champions, in which he plays a basketball coach with a rather “rude” demeanor. He described his character as "very rude, politically incorrect, and someone who insults everyone around him."
During his talk, Aamir shared that Sitaare Zameen Par is nearly finished and serves as a sequel to his earlier film Taare Zameen Par. He described this new film as taking a more comedic approach while dealing with similar themes of love, friendship, and life, aiming to make the audience laugh rather than cry as its predecessor did.
Aamir also discussed his character in detail. He mentioned that while he played a sensitive character named Nikumbh in Taare Zameen Par, his new role, Gulshan, is quite the opposite. Gulshan is aggressive, often arguing with his wife and mother, and he faces a lot of personal struggles.
The film’s plot revolves around Gulshan’s transformation through his interactions with a group of ten individuals, some of whom have Down syndrome and autism. These characters help him understand what it means to be a better person.
Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna and stars Genelia Deshmukh alongside Aamir. The film promises to be an engaging and heartfelt journey for viewers.
