Ananth Mahadevan’s film Phule, centered on the inspiring lives of Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitri Phule, has had its release date shifted. Initially set to premiere this Friday, the film is now scheduled to come out on April 25. Producer Ritesh Kudecha confirmed the delay, stating, "Yes, the film has been postponed to 25 April. We took the decision this morning."
With Phule now on hold, moviegoers are eagerly anticipating the releases of Sunny Deol’s Jaat and Gippy Grewal’s Akaal: The Unconquered, both set to hit theaters on April 10.
For Akaal, Gippy Grewal is teaming up with Karan Johar to co-produce this action-packed film that highlights valor and nationalism. It’s expected to resonate strongly in Punjab while also reaching audiences beyond the region. Gippy aims to expand his appeal with this project.
On the other hand, Sunny Deol’s Jaat is already generating excitement among his fans, who are hoping for another blockbuster like Gadar. Sunny takes on the role of a character serving justice, backed by talented actors Viineet Kumar Siingh and Randeep Hooda. Viineet has recently gained acclaim from his performance in Chhaava, and he has been added to an item song featuring Urvashi Rautela. Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda is set to showcase a different side, transitioning from the noble figure of Veer Savarkar to the menacing villain Varadaraja Ranatunga in Jaat.
In summary, both Jaat and Akaal promise to be major offerings as Sunny and Gippy face off at the box office, each hoping for the best in this competitive landscape.
