Amrita Arora Ladak Takes the Stand in 2012 Saif Ali Khan Hotel Brawl Case: Latest Bollywood Update

Actress Amrita Arora Ladak recently appeared in court as a witness related to a case involving actor Saif Ali Khan, her husband Shakeel Ladak, and their friend Bilal Amrohi. This case stems from a 2012 incident at a luxury hotel, where a businessman named Iqbal Sharma claimed that the trio assaulted him and his brother-in-law, Raman Patel.

In an interview with NDTV, Amrita recounted the events of that night, emphasizing that the altercation began when a stranger aggressively approached their group. She described the moment, saying, “We saw someone barging into our space and, in a loud and aggressive voice, told us to shut up. We were all shocked by what was happening.” She stated that in response, Saif quickly got up to apologize and help ease the tension.

The conflict escalated when Sharma accused Saif and his friends of being aggressive and verbally abusing him. He alleged that Saif punched him, resulting in a broken nose, and also claimed that Saif attacked his brother-in-law. Following the incident, Sharma filed a police complaint, which led to charges of assault and intimidation against Saif and his companions.

However, Saif Ali Khan has consistently stated that he was acting in self-defense. He claims that the situation intensified after Sharma allegedly made disrespectful comments towards the women in their group, which included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, and Amrita Arora. Saif argued that he had to defend the women against Sharma’s offensive remarks.

The legal battle over this case has been ongoing for more than ten years, involving numerous court sessions. Amrita’s testimony tends to back Saif’s account, highlighting that the incident was triggered by Sharma’s aggressive demeanor. The court is set to review witness statements before making a final decision. The case continues to attract public attention as both sides present their differing views on what occurred that night.
