Aamir Khan is set to make his big-screen return this year after more than two and a half years with his new film, Sitaare Zameen Par. The film is anticipated to hit theaters in the coming months, and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has recently approved the teaser for release.
The teaser has a duration of 79 seconds and received a ‘U’ certificate from the CBFC on March 24. Despite the timing of the teaser’s release coinciding with Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film, Sikandar, it has been confirmed that the teaser will not be shown with Sikandar. As of now, there’s no official announcement regarding the exact date for the teaser’s debut.
Though the official release date for Sitaare Zameen Par has yet to be announced, Aamir Khan hinted during his 60th birthday celebrations on March 13 that the film might come out in June. However, recent reports suggest he is also considering a potential release on May 30, with an official update expected soon.
Directed by R.S. Prasanna, known for his work on Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the film stars Genelia Deshmukh alongside Aamir. Co-producer Ravi Bhagchandka spoke to the media about Aamir’s unique approach to storytelling, highlighting his ability to bring fresh perspectives to familiar narratives and capture the audience’s attention.
