Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 Pushes to 2026 as Budget Woes Shift Leadership: Bollywood Buzz

The eagerly anticipated fourth installment of the Krrish franchise, starring Hrithik Roshan, is facing yet another delay. Originally expected to begin production in the latter half of 2025, Krrish 4 is now looking at a potential release in 2026, primarily due to budget concerns.

According to a reliable source, the film requires a hefty budget of approximately Rs. 700 crores. This significant amount has made studios hesitant to invest, especially in the current post-Marvel landscape where confidence in high-budget Indian superhero films has waned. Hrithik, who is deeply involved in the project, had entrusted his friend Siddharth Anand with finding a studio willing to back the film. However, leading studios in India have been reluctant to commit to such a substantial financial risk.

In light of these challenges, Siddharth Anand and his production company, Marflix, will no longer be involved in Krrish 4. A private meeting between Hrithik and his father, Rakesh Roshan, led to a decision to personally approach various studios across India to secure funding for the film. The new plan is for FilmKraft to produce Krrish 4 alongside a prominent studio, while Marflix shifts its focus to other projects.

Moreover, Karan Malhotra, who was initially set to direct the film under Anand’s banner, will also exit the project. With Anand stepping back, a new team will be assembled to adjust the budget and eventually start production. There is optimism that things may improve for Hrithik with the release of War 2, which is expected to make a strong impact at the box office.

Overall, while Krrish 4 is encountering delays, the team is taking steps to ensure the project can move forward effectively.
