Actress Swara Bhaskar recently addressed criticism on social media after sharing joyful photos from her Holi celebrations. The actress, who is known for her outspoken personality, took to Instagram to post colorful pictures featuring her husband, politician Fahad Ahmad, and their daughter, Rabiya. In the images, while Swara and Rabiya were covered in vibrant colors, Fahad remained sans color, leading to a flurry of comments from users questioning his lack of participation in the festivities.

Many commenters pressed, “Why didn’t your husband join in the fun?” Some went a step further, implying that Fahad was intentionally avoiding the celebration. In response to the backlash, Swara shared a strong message on her Instagram Stories: "Happy Holi everyone! Just a gentle reminder: it’s possible to celebrate our festivals and share joy WITHOUT forcing everyone to join in."

Swara also shared various happy moments from the celebrations, including a family photo that she captioned to wish her followers a joyful Holi.

The couple, who got married in 2023, has often encountered scrutiny over their interfaith marriage. Despite this, Swara remains firm in her belief that celebrating traditions should be a personal choice, not something imposed upon someone else. Her response to online critics underlines her commitment to personal freedom and respect for diverse cultural practices.

On the professional front, Swara was last seen in the films Jahaan Chaar Yaar and Mimansa, both released in 2022. Meanwhile, Fahad, who previously affiliated with the Samajwadi Party, has now joined the Nationalist Congress Party and is preparing to contest the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections from Mumbai’s Anushakti Nagar constituency.
