Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of actors Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, has faced several delays in her acting career, but she is now ready to take her first steps into the film industry. Recently, she shared behind-the-scenes moments from the set of her film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which is being filmed in Azerbaijan.
In the photos she posted on Instagram, Shanaya can be seen holding the film’s clapboard with a bright smile while showcasing its title. Her caption simply read, “grateful.” This marks the completion of her shooting schedule in Baku for the film, and she expressed her appreciation for the experience.
Her mother, Maheep Kapoor, and friends have been very supportive, with heartfelt messages and congratulatory emojis flooding the comments. Notable figures like Bhavana Pandey and Navya Naveli Nanda also chimed in to celebrate this exciting moment for Shanaya.
Before stepping into acting, Shanaya worked behind the camera as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, starring Janhvi Kapoor. Additionally, she is anticipated to make her acting debut in the film Vrushabha, alongside renowned actor Mohanlal. This film will also feature Zahrah S Khan and Roshann Meka and is set to be released in multiple languages, including Tamil and Kannada, on October 16.
Initially, Shanaya was supposed to debut with Karan Johar’s film Bedhadak, where she was cast as Nimrit, but there have been no updates about that project since last year.
As she embarks on this new journey, Shanaya’s excitement is palpable, and her fans are eager to see what she brings to the screen.
