The historical film Chhaava, which tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is all set to make its debut in Telugu. The film, which was first released in Hindi, will be available in Telugu theaters starting March 7, 2025, in response to popular demand from audiences.
GA2 Pictures, part of Geetha Arts, will manage the distribution of the Telugu version. With a background in distributing over 300 films in Telugu, Hindi, and English, they are eager to present Chhaava to the Telugu-speaking community.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Chhaava features a talented cast, including Vicky Kaushal, who portrays the lead role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. Since its release on February 14, the film has made a remarkable collection of over ₹417.20 crore at the box office in just 11 days.
