SAP SE has launched the SAP Business Data Cloud, a new solution aimed at bringing together both SAP and third-party data across organizations. This integrated platform provides a solid data foundation that businesses can rely on to enhance decision-making and support their artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The solution is designed to synchronize data from critical applications while incorporating data engineering and business analytics capabilities, offering opportunities for innovation and valuable insights.

This initiative marks a significant collaboration between SAP and Databricks, as both companies combine their strengths to transform how data and applications interact. By implementing Databricks technology, the solution is equipped to handle data engineering, machine learning, and AI workloads more effectively.

Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, emphasized the transformative potential of the SAP Business Data Cloud, stating, "This solution unlocks the complete value of enterprise data for Business AI." He noted that the partnership merges SAP’s expertise in managing vital processes and rich data with Databricks’ top-tier data engineering skills, creating a groundbreaking tool for businesses.

Ali Ghodsi, Co-founder and CEO of Databricks, highlighted the shared goal of helping companies maximize their data’s value and improve their investments in AI. He pointed out that the partnership enables organizations to consolidate their data, regardless of its source or format, allowing them to better govern, analyze, and develop specialized AI applications on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

Overall, the launch of the SAP Business Data Cloud is set to change the landscape of enterprise data management, providing businesses with innovative solutions to manage their data more effectively and harness the power of AI.
