Social media is buzzing with reactions after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made some controversial comments on comedian Samay Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent.” His shocking question to a contestant has sparked outrage, leading many to call for serious consequences for him and others involved.
Reports indicate that legal action has been taken against Allahbadia. A formal complaint has been filed against him, along with social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the producers of the show. This complaint was submitted to the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, claiming that they used abusive language during the episode, and it requests strict legal measures.
The incident gained attention after Ranveer Allahbadia, who boasts over 10 million followers on YouTube, posed a deeply offensive question to one of the contestants: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” His words left the other judges, including Samay Raina, comedian Ashish Chanchlani, and influencer Apoorva Makhija, visibly stunned.
In response to the uproar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis commented, “I have heard about this situation, though I haven’t seen it myself. While everyone has the right to express themselves, that freedom can’t infringe on the rights of others. Our society has certain norms, and if those are broken, action is warranted.”
The incident has reignited discussions about responsible content creation and the importance of having clear regulations on digital platforms. While the individuals involved have yet to make formal statements, public discontent is growing, with many criticizing both Allahbadia and Samay Raina for their “poor sense of humor.”
Additionally, Samay Raina’s show faced backlash earlier for a participant making insensitive comments about the people of Arunachal Pradesh, indicating a pattern of controversy surrounding the program.
