Madhya Pradesh CM Invites Global Investors During Japan Visit
Kobe, Japan – On January 30, 2025, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav continued his visit to Japan, engaging with the Indian community and exploring business opportunities. He made a noteworthy stop at the Sysmex Corporation, a prominent health sector company based in Kobe.
While addressing members of the Indian diaspora, CM Yadav invited them to attend the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS) scheduled for February 24-25 in Bhopal. He took this opportunity to highlight the rich natural resources of Madhya Pradesh, pointing out that both diamonds and gold are being mined in the state alongside iron and aluminium.
"I feel a great pride to connect with our community here. India is increasingly attracting global investments, and Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront with its diverse resources," he shared.
In an earlier gathering, he fondly referred to Indians as “sugar in milk,” expressing how they contribute positively to every nation they inhabit. He acknowledged the progress India has made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past decade, marking the growing enthusiasm when Indians gather.
During his time in Japan, Yadav honored Mahatma Gandhi by offering a floral tribute at India Club in Kobe on his death anniversary, emphasizing the lasting inspiration Gandhi’s principles provide.
The Chief Minister’s visit to Sysmex Corporation focused on potential collaborations in the healthcare sector, particularly in medical equipment manufacturing. He met with company leaders, including Mr. Toni Sumaki, to discuss ways to enhance innovation in healthcare.
"We talked about working together to boost the healthcare landscape, and I invited them to join us at the Global Investors Summit," CM Yadav stated after the meeting.
Later, CM Yadav traveled to Osaka, where he visited the Panasonic Energy office. He spoke with company officials about investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh, showcasing the state’s infrastructure and skilled workforce. He urged the Panasonic team to expand their operations in Pithampur, where they have been manufacturing advanced batteries since 1989.
"I proposed that Panasonic Energy look into expanding its facilities for battery production and establish a research and development center in Madhya Pradesh," he said.
The Global Investors Summit is geared towards showcasing Madhya Pradesh as an attractive investment destination, providing a platform for industrialists and experts to share ideas on emerging markets and collaboration opportunities.
CM Yadav is currently on a four-day trip to Japan, aiming to forge international partnerships in anticipation of the upcoming summit in Bhopal.
