On Saturday, reports emerged that veteran actor and comedian Tiku Talsania had suffered a serious health scare. He was quickly taken to a hospital in Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai. Initial information indicated that he may have experienced a heart attack, but his wife, Deepti Talsania, clarified that he had actually suffered a brain stroke on Friday night. He was subsequently admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
Deepti shared more details with NDTV, confirming her husband’s hospitalization. She explained, "He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He had gone to a film screening and began feeling unwell around 8 PM." It was reported that Tiku started vomiting while watching the Gujarati film Mon Tane Naa Samjhaye at PVR Icon in Andheri at 9 PM, leading to him being taken to the hospital in a wheelchair. Currently, he is receiving treatment, but there are no updates on his health condition yet.
Tiku Talsania is a respected figure in the film industry and recently appeared in the film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Vala Video, where he portrayed the father of characters played by Rajkummar Rao and Mallika Sherawat. Known for his memorable performances in classics like Andaz Apna Apna, Ishq, Judwaa, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Hungama, and Dhamaal, Tiku’s contributions extend to television as well, with shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo.
He has been married to Deepti for many years and they have two children together: music composer Rohaan Talsania and actress Shikha Talsania, who has appeared in several popular films. Fans and well-wishers are hoping for a speedy recovery for the beloved actor.
