India’s cricket team will host all their matches for the upcoming Champions Trophy in Dubai, kicking off with a match against Bangladesh on February 20. This change comes after the team decided not to travel to Pakistan, the original host country, due to concerns over safety.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set January 12 as the last date for all teams to submit their preliminary rosters for the tournament. Following a disappointing showing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, the Indian team is now shifting its focus to upcoming white-ball competitions, including the tour of England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce the squad for the tournament just one day ahead of the submission deadline.
