Good News for Manmohan Singh’s Memorial Plans
New Delhi: Union Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Wednesday that there will be "good news" regarding the memorial for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the next one to two days. This update has sparked anticipation among the public and Singh’s supporters.
According to sources, family members of Singh were expected to visit potential locations for the memorial at the Rajghat complex on Wednesday. However, there has been no confirmation yet on whether that visit took place.
While speaking to reporters during an event organized by the National Institute of Urban Affairs, Khattar stated, "You will soon come to know. There will be good news in the next one or two days," but he did not provide further specifics.
Speculation about the location for Singh’s memorial has grown, especially since the government recently designated a site for former President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtriya Smriti complex, which is designated for the memorials of presidents and prime ministers.
As excitement builds, many are eager to see the final decision regarding the memorial of one of India’s respected leaders.
