Elon Musk praised India’s election process on Saturday after the country swiftly completed vote counting for two state assembly elections and several by-elections in just one day. The CEO of Tesla also took a light-hearted jab at the ongoing vote counting for the U.S. Presidential Election in California, where counting is still in progress.
“India counted 640 million votes in one day. California is still counting votes,” Musk posted on X, along with a screenshot of an article highlighting the rapid vote counting in India.
His comments came as California continues to tally votes from the recent U.S. Presidential Election held on November 5. According to the Los Angeles Times, approximately 570,500 ballots across the state were still awaiting verification and counting, as reported by the Secretary of State’s office.
