Bengaluru: Tragic Death of Two Children Sparks Investigation

In a deeply troubling event, two young children, aged seven and three, were found strangled to death in Bengaluru. Police have reported that one of the parents is likely involved in this shocking incident.

The tragic events unfolded in the Subramanyapura area of the city, where both the mother and father, who moved from Jharkhand, are currently under investigation. They are blaming each other for the deaths of their children, identified as Shubam, 7, and Sia, 3.

The mother is currently hospitalized with a neck injury, while the father, who works as an auto driver, has been questioned by the authorities. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Lokesh Jagalasar shared updates on the case, stating, "We received reports of the children’s deaths yesterday. Initial investigations show that they were choked with a rope."

Both parents are presenting conflicting accounts regarding the circumstances of the children’s deaths. A murder case has been filed, and police are examining all possible angles of the situation. The DCP noted that family disputes might be a contributing factor, based on testimonies from relatives and neighbors.

The incident reportedly occurred between 7 PM and 9:30 PM on Thursday, and the father rushed his children and wife to the hospital at around 10:30 PM after finding them. Surveillance footage has suggested that he discovered the aftermath once he returned home.

The father claims that marital difficulties and emotional distress led to the incident, alleging that his wife was responsible. In contrast, the mother insists she had no part in the crimes and accuses her husband of killing their children. The investigation will continue to determine who was at the scene when the tragedy occurred, relying on evidence collected by the police.

As of now, the mother is stable, and although she is still receiving treatment, doctors have confirmed her condition is not critical. The couple had only moved to Bengaluru two months prior to this tragic event, and the investigation is set to delve deeper into the matter in the hope of uncovering the truth.
