However, Rohit addressed these rumors clearly during the post-match press conference, stating he is not retiring from ODI cricket.<\/p>\n
Rohit said, “At this moment, I am focused on the present. It\u2019s not the right time for me to think about the future or make any predictions about the 2027 World Cup. I always prefer to take things one step at a time and enjoy the game I love. Right now, my priority is to perform well and support my teammates. That’s what really matters.”<\/p>\n
In the recent final, Rohit led his team brilliantly, scoring a vital 76 runs off 83 balls, with seven fours and three sixes. He partnered with Shubman Gill to set a solid foundation for the team’s chase of 252 runs, putting together a 105-run opening stand. Rohit\u2019s half-century was his first of the tournament and he managed to put pressure on the New Zealand team right from the start.<\/p>\n
