Earlier this year, Zia traveled to Britain for medical care, where she delivered her first online address to party members in six years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students from the Recent Movement Form New Political Party<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During her address, Zia encouraged BNP members to come together and lead the country during this crucial time. \u201cThe country is currently experiencing a critical phase. The previous government was compelled to leave due to movements led by students and ourselves,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p>The government of Sheikh Hasina has faced criticism for inhibiting democracy by influencing judicial and civil service processes, leading to accusations of unfair elections.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Laureate who is currently at the helm of the caretaker government, has initiated various oversight commissions dedicated to implementing necessary reforms. He indicated that the timing of the next election would depend on political party discussions, with hopes for elections to take place in late 2025 or early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Zia also called on all Bangladeshis to unite in addressing the rising concerns regarding law and order. \u201cThose who supported the previous regime are scheming to undermine the achievements of our mass movement,\u201d she warned. \u201cWe must thwart these plans through an unwavering alliance among ourselves and with the people of Bangladesh.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Hasina, who currently resides in self-imposed exile in India, is defying an arrest warrant in Dhaka, facing serious charges, including allegations of crimes against humanity.
