Washington DC:<\/strong><\/p>\n President Donald Trump has voiced concerns regarding Tesla’s potential plans to open a factory in India shortly after the electric vehicle company began hiring staff in the country. In a joint interview with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Fox News, Trump described such a move as "very unfair," especially if it was perceived as an attempt to bypass India’s tariffs.<\/p>\n During the interview, Trump recalled his discussions with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to the United States, where he pointed out the significant tariffs on car imports. Both leaders have agreed to work towards an early trade agreement to address these concerns.<\/p>\n While in the U.S., Prime Minister Modi met with Musk, who has been vocal about India’s high import duties on electric vehicles, which can reach around 100%.
