CAPAC Highlights Increased Hate, Points to Trump’s Unkept Promises to South Asian Community

The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) has recently expressed serious concerns about the rise of hate against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. They pointed out that attacks on these communities have become more frequent and violent, creating a climate of fear among many individuals.

In the wake of these alarming trends, CAPAC also highlighted former President Donald Trump’s failure to keep his promises to the South Asian community. During his presidency, many South Asians hoped for positive changes, but CAPAC states that these hopes were met with disappointment as crucial issues remained unaddressed.

The rising incidents of hate crimes have sparked urgent calls for action from lawmakers and advocacy groups. CAPAC urges government officials to prioritize the safety and well-being of all communities, emphasizing the need for stronger measures to combat hate and discrimination.

These discussions come at a crucial time when unity and understanding are more important than ever. CAPAC aims to amplify voices from the South Asian community and ensure they are heard in the ongoing fight against hate.
