This will be the 19th edition of the PBD, which aims to bring together the Indian diaspora from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The event is organized by the MEA in collaboration with the West Bengal government. The Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas honors Mahatma Gandhi, who returned to India from South Africa on January 9, 1915. <\/p>\n<p>During the closing session, President Droupadi Murmu will present the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awards.
