The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has recently made headlines for its unexpected decision to approve films without requiring cuts. Following this trend, the board cleared the much-anticipated movie, “Drishyam The Conclusion,” starring prominent actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu, with a U\/A 16+ certification and without any edits.<\/p>\n
This decision was surprising as the CBFC is often associated with demanding changes to films deemed unnecessary. The approval came on September 28, and the movie has a runtime of 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes. Notably, there were no requests for any modifications, which is a rare move for the board. In some instances, the CBFC usually asks filmmakers to add specific messages or alter certain parts of the film, but that wasn\u2019t the case here.<\/p>\n
“Drishyam The Conclusion” is now the second film in the “Drishyam” series to receive a U\/A certificate without any cuts, following “Drishyam 2,” which was released in 2022. This latest installment also ranks as the second-longest movie in the series, with the first film from 2015 having a slightly longer runtime of 162 minutes.<\/p>\n
The film features a strong cast, including Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, and others, and is directed by Abhishek Pathak. Audiences can look forward to its release in theaters on October 2. <\/p>\n
