This includes a significant allocation of Rs 200 crore designated for the host fee, as revealed during a session of the state assembly on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, who oversees the Sports and Youth Services department, shared these details in response to a query from Congress MLA Amit Chavda. Sanghavi confirmed that Gujarat has indeed received the rights to host the upcoming Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n<p>To facilitate the planning and management of the Games, the government has created a company named &#8220;Amdavad 2030 Commonwealth Games Organisation,&#8221; established through a resolution in August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Chief Minister mentioned that the state has already begun preparations for hosting the various sporting events, including venue management and other essential arrangements. Consultations have been held with Commonwealth Sport, the Indian Olympic Association, and international sports federations to ensure smooth preparations.<\/p>\n<p>In the past year, Rs 100 crore was allocated under the revenue budget for the Games, along with a token provision of Rs 1 crore under the capital budget. Altogether, the total financial commitment for the Games now stands at Rs 301 crore.
