Actress Nora Fatehi is facing a legal challenge as Dunes Aviation has filed a civil defamation lawsuit against her for \u20b93 crore in a Gandhinagar court. The aviation company claims that Nora made inappropriate remarks about one of its chartered flights during a social media post.<\/p>\n
A report from PTI indicates that the dispute centers around videos Nora shared while on a Mumbai-Jaipur flight last December. Dunes Aviation alleges that she made derogatory comments, referring to the aircraft as a “miniature,” a “toy,” and a “Lego airplane.” <\/p>\n
The case is set to be heard by senior civil judge R. Agarwal on September 25.<\/p>\n
### Dunes Aviation Claims Damage to Business<\/p>\n
The lawsuit states that Nora’s comments reached a wide audience due to her large social media following, which exceeds 4.6 crore. Dunes Aviation claims the actress’s remarks have caused significant harm to their reputation and business, resulting in a reported 15 to 20 percent decline in bookings and an increase in cancellations.<\/p>\n
The company describes Nora\u2019s comments as \u201creckless and irresponsible,\u201d stating that they were made without proper understanding or verification. They assert that these comments have led to serious reputational harm and loss of goodwill.<\/p>\n
### Defense of Aircraft Standards<\/p>\n
In response to the remarks about the aircraft, Dunes Aviation highlighted that the Cessna Citation CJ2 used for her journey met all regulatory standards. They confirmed that the aircraft is fully certified and legally operated under a valid Non-Scheduled Operator\u2019s Permit (NSOP).<\/p>\n
### What Dunes Aviation is Seeking<\/p>\n
In addition to the \u20b93 crore in damages, Dunes Aviation has requested that the court direct Nora to delete the posts and any other online content that contains her alleged comments. They also seek a public clarification from her regarding these statements.
