Neeraj Chopra, the Indian javelin star, showcased his talent at the Lausanne Diamond League, marking another milestone in his journey. With a remarkable throw of 88.05 meters, he secured second place at the event. This performance stands out as his best throw of the season.

Claiming the top position was Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage, who achieved a throw of 88.14 meters. Anderson Pieters from Grenada finished third with a season-best throw of 86.69 meters, while Keshorn Walcott took fourth place.

Neeraj’s strong showing in Lausanne sets a positive tone as he prepares to defend his title at the Asian Games in Japan next month.

After his performance, Neeraj expressed contentment, saying, “While we always hope to hear the national anthem play, I’m happy with my season’s best. The comeback is progressing well, and there are more competitions ahead.” His recent silver medal win at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow was a joyful moment for fans, despite the fact that silver rarely gets celebrated in India.

After facing injuries and undergoing several changes in his coaching staff, Neeraj has returned to his roots and adopted new strategies to reclaim his top form.

As he looks forward to the upcoming competitions, Neeraj remains focused and optimistic about his journey ahead.
