“People who get a headache or fever don’t need to worry about Ebola,” he said. <\/p>\n
During the 2014 outbreak in West Africa, which infected over 28,000 people, only four cases were confirmed in the United States. Two were imported, and two nurses contracted the virus while treating a patient.<\/p>\n
Researchers are aware of the challenges associated with the current virus strain, which is different from past outbreaks. This strain makes existing treatments and vaccines less effective.<\/p>\n
