Counterfeit Watch Bust in Surat<\/strong><\/p>\n Surat:<\/strong> In a recent operation, the Mahidharpura police took action against two shops accused of selling fake watches. Following a complaint from a known watch company, authorities seized 979 counterfeit watches valued at Rs 2.78 lakh and arrested two individuals involved in the operation.<\/p>\n Gaurav Tiwari, a legal advisor for Titan Company Ltd, reported that the shops\u2014Metro Traders and Alam Traders\u2014were peddling watches marked with their brand name, raising suspicions of counterfeiting. <\/p>\n Acting on Tiwari\u2019s complaint, Inspector D U Barad led the raid. “We first visited Metro Traders located at Vishnu Apartments near Maskati Hospital, where we discovered the owner, Jatin Chopra, selling the counterfeit watches. We seized 513 fake watches worth Rs 1.83 lakh.
