These actions were reported following intelligence tips that guided the military&#8217;s efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The military stated that the raids were a direct response to violent attacks that occurred on Wednesday, one of which involved a suicide bomber using an explosive-laden vehicle to target police and civilians. Additionally, a lesser-known militant group attacked a police station in Bannu, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, injuring several officers.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their quick and decisive actions against those responsible for the recent violence. Both leaders emphasized that tackling terrorism remains a top priority for the government and expressed their commitment to holding those accountable for such acts.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistani Taliban, also known as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), differs from the Afghan Taliban but has established ties with them. Pakistan has accused the Afghan Taliban government of allowing cross-border militant activity, a claim that Kabul consistently denies. Meanwhile, the TTP and the Baloch separatist group BLA have frequently taken responsibility for attacks within Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Since last year, the Pakistani military has launched several operations targeting TTP hideouts along the border with Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>The government in Islamabad has asserted that these militant groups receive support from India, a claim the Indian government refutes.
