Pixel-Flo Secures \u00a35.25 Million Funding to Revolutionize MicroLED Displays<\/strong><\/p>\n Pixel-Flo, a startup spun out from the University of Sheffield, has successfully raised \u00a35.25 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Northern Gritstone and also received backing from SCVC, the Parkwalk Northern Universities Venture Fund, and HTGF.<\/p>\n The company is focused on tackling key challenges in the production of microLED displays, which are being hailed as the next big thing in display technology. MicroLEDs promise to deliver brightness levels that are two to five times higher and energy efficiency that is two to four times greater than current display technologies.<\/p>\n Despite their potential, the widespread use of microLEDs is currently hindered by the difficulties involved in scaling up mechanical mass transfer methods. Pixel-Flo claims its innovative technology can streamline this process by offering high throughput at lower costs for both processing and materials.
