Bengaluru, July 5, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully carried out integrated parachute tests to ensure that the deceleration systems work well for the upcoming Gaganyaan mission. This mission includes a Crew Module designed to safely carry astronauts during lift-off, space travel, and splashdowns at sea.<\/p>\n On July 3, tests were conducted at ISRO\u2019s facility in Sriharikota, where a total of 10 parachutes were deployed. These parachutes are crucial for slowing down the Crew Module as it falls to the ocean.<\/p>\n ISRO also announced its work on a new sub-orbital launch vehicle called SOLVE, which stands for Solid Motor based Sub-Orbital Launch Vehicle for Experiments. This special test rocket will enable numerous experiments under different conditions.
