She was 98 years old.<\/p>\n According to her family, Gavri Devi had been dealing with health issues related to her age. She took her last breath around 8 PM at her family home in Gavri Nagar, Desuri. Her final rites were conducted on Friday, attended by various artists, fans, and members of the cultural community from across Rajasthan.<\/p>\n Gavri Devi was highly regarded as a leading figure in Mand singing, helping to introduce Rajasthan\u2019s rich folk music heritage to audiences both in India and abroad. One of her most famous songs, \u201cKesariya Balam,\u201d became a symbol of the state\u2019s cultural identity and hospitality.<\/p>\n Throughout her extensive career, she dedicated herself to preserving and promoting Mand, a cherished folk tradition of Rajasthan that features expressive and romantic themes.
