Recent reports reveal that Aamir Khan played a crucial role in securing the rights to this title from the family of the late producer Salim Akhtar.<\/p>\n A source shared that the film team initially considered the name Batwara 1947<\/em>, but eventually decided that simply Batwara<\/em> was the best fit. This change allowed them to secure the title rights. <\/p>\n It turns out that the rights to the name Batwara<\/em> were held by Salim Akhtar’s family due to the original film released in 1989. Aamir Khan\u2019s connection to the Akhtar family was facilitated through veteran filmmaker Karim Morani, who helped arrange a meeting between Aamir and Salim Akhtar\u2019s son, Samad.
