In a recent letter addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a meeting to discuss a possible resolution to the enduring conflict between their nations. He stated, “We see that the United States is focused on the issue of Iran now. It would be a mistake for us to wait for the war in Europe to become central again. Ukraine believes that this war can only be ended through direct conversations between us.”<\/p>\n
Zelenskyy emphasized the need for both European and U.S. involvement in any peace talks. He said, “Since the war affects Europe, it makes sense to include those who can help ensure security. It is crucial for both sides to work together.” He suggested that countries like Switzerland or T\u00fcrkiye could host such discussions, believing that it is leaders who pave the way for resolving conflicts.<\/p>\n
