Recently, the iPhone 17 received a price cut of VND 1.2 million, marking a significant reduction since its launch in late 2025. Retailers are attributing these discounts to their own promotional efforts, while Apple has maintained the official price since the device’s introduction in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
Nguyen Nhu Thanh, who is the deputy director of Apple products at FPT Shop, shared with Dan Tri newspaper that the iPhone 17 is a major product for the retailer, making up about 18% of sales for the 17 series and 13% of total iPhone sales. <\/p>\n
Similarly, Van Thi Ngoc Yen, deputy director of product categories at Di Dong Viet, noted that sales of the iPhone 17 have more than doubled compared to the iPhone 16 in the same time frame since their launches.<\/p>\n
According to Counterpoint Research\u2019s Global Handset Model Sales Tracker report released in May, the iPhone 17 was the best-selling smartphone worldwide in the first quarter of 2026, accounting for 6% of total global sales.<\/p>\n
Counterpoint’s senior analyst, Harshit Rastogi, explained that the iPhone 17’s success stems from several upgrades, such as an increase in base storage, enhanced camera capabilities, and a faster display refresh rate. These features bring it closer to the Pro models while providing greater value to a wider audience.<\/p>\n
The report also highlighted that year-over-year sales saw double-digit growth in major markets, including China and the U.S., with sales in South Korea tripling during the quarter.<\/p>\n
