KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday that Russia is getting ready for a “massive new strike” against Ukraine and urged citizens to take steps to “protect your lives.”<\/strong><\/p>\n Last weekend, Kyiv experienced significant damage from one of the heaviest Russian attacks since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.<\/p>\n Moscow has advised foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv, threatening to increase attacks in retaliation for a Ukrainian strike on a dormitory and vocational school in the Russian-held Luhansk region, which they claim resulted in 21 deaths.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have intelligence indicating that Russia is preparing for a large-scale assault,\u201d Zelensky shared via social media.<\/p>\n He emphasized the importance of staying alert to air raid warnings and reassured the public that Ukraine\u2019s defense forces, including the Air Force, would be ready around the clock.<\/p>\n Zelensky reiterated his appeal to international allies for support, particularly for Patriot missile systems that could intercept incoming Russian missiles.
