Davanagere<\/strong>: Vice President CP Radhakrishnan emphasized the important role of engineering schools in shaping the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. Speaking at the platinum jubilee celebrations of UBDT College of Engineering on Friday, he highlighted how India’s youthful population is pivotal in driving technological progress and global advancements.<\/p>\n Radhakrishnan noted that the country is in an exciting phase characterized by technology and innovation. He referenced several initiatives led by Prime Minister Modi, including Digital India and Make in India, which are creating new opportunities for young engineers and entrepreneurs. “The journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047 relies heavily on the efforts of engineers and scientists,” he stated.<\/p>\n Reflecting on the college\u2019s 75-year history, he acknowledged its commitment to academic excellence and community service. He credited the visionary founders and dedicated faculty for building such a respected institution. <\/p>\n Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot also addressed the event, stating that technical education is essential for achieving India’s development goals. He encouraged students to become innovators and entrepreneurs, highlighting UBDT\u2019s significant contributions to the nation’s growth.<\/p>\n Gehlot praised Karnataka for its leadership in education and technology, noting that the state is home to many start-ups. He called upon engineering institutions to foster innovation and social responsibility along with technical skills.<\/p>\n Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, a prominent leader, encouraged students to continually upgrade their skills and emphasized the importance of embracing new technologies.
