He stated, \u201cHad a productive day in Ottawa, enjoying a wonderful interaction with my counterpart, Minister Sidhu. We discussed India\u2019s remarkable growth journey driven by our people’s aspirations, a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, a diverse talent pool, and ample market opportunities. I also highlighted the significant impact of the Indian diaspora in enhancing our economic and cultural relations!\u201d<\/p>\n
Goyal is in Canada for a three-day official visit from May 25 to 27. His trip comes at a crucial time as India and Canada are advancing negotiations for the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which is seen as essential for revitalizing economic ties.<\/p>\n
Minister Sidhu announced that a “Team Canada” business delegation will visit India later this year, aiming to strengthen economic relations. Both countries are looking to triple their trade and reach USD 50 billion by 2030.<\/p>\n
In a joint press conference, Sidhu acknowledged the ongoing collaboration between Indian and Canadian leadership, and he highlighted the recent uranium deal as a significant development. He described Goyal\u2019s visit as \u201cvery timely\u201d and noted the enthusiasm for enhancing the economic partnership with India.<\/p>\n
