New Delhi, May 22<\/strong> \u2014 KASHMIR NRI TODAY, an international affairs magazine based in the United States, has introduced a new section called \u2018Kids Corner.\u2019 This special segment is designed to give children and teenagers of Indian origin a chance to showcase their talents on a global platform.<\/p>\n Inspired by a similar feature from the former Asia Observer newspaper, the \u2018Kids Corner\u2019 will be led by 12-year-old Aarna Kumar. Aarna is a seventh-grader from Miami and will serve as the Founding Young Editor.<\/p>\n As stated by the magazine\u2019s Editor-in-Chief, Surinder Zutshi, the section welcomes contributions from young people aged 5 to 18. “Every child has a story, a voice, and a talent that deserves to shine,” the release emphasized.<\/p>\n The \u2018Kids Corner\u2019 invites submissions that include artwork, poems, short stories, essays, travel experiences, festival write-ups, quizzes, and riddles. Some of the best entries will be featured in the magazine, with standout contributors receiving certificates and special recognition.<\/p>\n In addition, there will be a \u2018Young Star of the Month\u2019 segment and a Junior Editorial Board to further engage young writers.<\/p>\n Aarna Kumar, the young editor, attends the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami. She also holds the position of Editor for the Photography and Arts section of her school\u2019s award-winning literary magazine, The Lumina.<\/p>\n This initiative continues a family legacy, as Aarna’s father, Neil Zutshi, had run a similar kids\u2019 section at just nine years old in the now-defunct Asia Observer weekly.<\/p>\n Parents are encouraged to support their children in exploring their creativity and connecting with their cultural heritage. The magazine believes this platform will help kids grow, learn, and gain recognition on an international stage.<\/p>\n Submissions for this exciting new section are open year-round and can be sent via email.
