Joining Kirti in Nagoya will be her fellow teenager, Kumkum Anil Mohod, along with Bhakat, both of whom played a key role in India\u2019s recurve women\u2019s team that won gold at the second stage of the Hyundai Archery World Cup in Shanghai.<\/p>\n
“The trials were tough, and I had to give it my all,” said Bhakat, currently ranked 20th in the world. “The juniors performed exceptionally well and showed great promise. I feel a sense of responsibility to guide the team, and I\u2019m ready to lead them at this major event.”<\/p>\n
In a slight change to the men\u2019s squad, Neeraj Chauhan will be stepping into the lineup, while Bommadevara and newcomer Yashdeep Bhoge keep their spots for both the World Cup and Asian Games.<\/p>\n
During the Hangzhou 2022 event, India\u2019s compound archers made history by winning all five gold medals available, alongside a silver and a bronze for the recurve teams.<\/p>\n
As a new wave of young talent rises, all eyes will be on whether India\u2019s next generation can maintain this momentum at Nagoya and shine on one of Asia\u2019s biggest platforms.
