Police Discover Skeletal Remains Near Lake Outside City<\/strong><\/p>\n On Saturday, police reported the finding of human skeletal remains, including a skull, believed to belong to a woman, in and around a lake located on the city’s outskirts.<\/p>\n The remains were first spotted by shepherds who were grazing cattle near Mugalur, close to Sarjapur. Upon noticing the bones, they immediately alerted the authorities.<\/p>\n Investigators arrived at the scene and discovered bones scattered across the dry bed of the lake and its surrounding area. A senior police officer mentioned that the remains are suspected to have been there for at least three months.<\/p>\n Authorities believe the woman may have drowned in the lake, as the skeletal remains surfaced after water levels significantly dropped during the summer months. Additionally, there\u2019s a possibility that stray dogs may have moved some of the remains to nearby locations after the lake became shallower.<\/p>\n Among the findings, pieces of a saree were recovered, which led the police to think that the remains could belong to a woman.<\/p>\n Forensic experts and a Scene of Crime Officer team were called in to collect the skeletal evidence for further examination.
