These reports come from security sources preparing updates for the United Nations.

In Borno state, suspected members of Boko Haram reportedly killed 11 individuals during a raid on a village. Meanwhile, 12 people were murdered in two different villages in Zamfara state. These incidents highlight the ongoing violence that has affected many communities in these areas.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the Boko Haram attack took place late Tuesday in the Pubago community, located in Rumirgo district of Borno. Some residents remain unaccounted for, raising concerns that the death toll could increase.

Later on the same day, bandits struck Rumbuki and Nikai villages in the Bukkuyum district of Zamfara state. In Rumbuki, they claimed the lives of nine individuals and injured eight others, with several still missing. The situation was equally grim in Nikai, where at least three children were killed in the attack.

While these bandits often act for financial gain rather than for ideological reasons, their growing collaboration with jihadist groups poses significant challenges for security forces. Recently, Boko Haram and the rival ISWAP factions have ramped up assaults on various communities, leading to both civilian and military casualties, including high-ranking military officials.

These ongoing attacks reflect a broader trend of violence, with bandits frequently raiding villages to kill residents, abduct individuals for ransom, and loot properties before setting homes ablaze. The Nigerian military faces immense pressure, as troops, already strained from combating jihadists and bandits, report fatigue and a lack of sufficient resources.

Kano (Nigeria): Attackers Kill 23 in Violent Spree In a tragic turn of events, at least 23 people, including three children, lost their lives on Tuesday due to three separate assaults attributed to jihadist groups and criminal gangs in Nigeria’s northeastern and northwestern regions.
