In the new study, which analyzed data from nearly 200,000 older adults, those who received the high-dose shot had a 55% lower risk of Alzheimer\u2019s compared to those who did not get vaccinated at all. This effect was even more significant among women.<\/p>\n
Experts stress that while there’s a link between the high-dose vaccine and lower risk of Alzheimer\u2019s, it does not prove causation. People opting for higher doses might also engage in healthier lifestyles\u2014such as better diets and regular check-ups\u2014that contribute to their overall well-being.<\/p>\n
The study also highlights that it focused on seniors, leaving open the question of whether earlier vaccinations could offer similar protection. <\/p>\n
Overall, while more research is necessary to confirm these findings, the study provides another compelling reason for seniors to get vaccinated against the flu.
